Welcome to Farm to Table Catering. Or well...I hope it will be someday. Let me introduce myself, I am Paislee. Most around Parchsun know me as the green-haired farmer's daughter. No, it isn't colored with root pigments. Yes. I was born that way! Mother always said it was because of my father's insane need to grow things. Something, by the by, that I inherited.
I have been 'playing in the dirt' since I was old enough to sit up and hold a spade. I have fond memories, which I may share with you in time, of following my father around the gardens. Some days were harder than others, plowing and working the dirt to plant...other days were peaceful. My father would sit by the garden with a serene gaze...and when asked 'why'...he would simply smile at me before going back to watching his garden grow. I never understood it then, but I do now. It was his way of taking care of his family and it brought such a sense of pride and fulfillment to him. I only hope to follow in his steps.
I am also following in my mother's foot steps. That's the 'catering' part. She was a wonderful cook and our home always smelled of fresh baked breads, soups and stews, all manner of sweets...if it could be eaten she found a way to make it into something delicious. I hope to follow in her steps and provide our warriors with hearty adventure ready meals.
That brings me to the adventure! How can I feed hungry warriors if I do not know what they are facing out there? Perhaps you'd like to join me and my companions as we venture forth from the farm. I must warn you, Poppy is a lovely bovine that believes in her heart she was destined to be a great steed like the Black Arrow (please don't tell her she's just a cow)....and Sunflower, well she is never content with chasing the barn rats. Oh no, she wants to chase down the biggest dragon she can find (though she may end up a snack...but don't tell her that either!).
Shall we begin?
